Transport Canada Civil Aviation has published the notice of proposed amendment that lays out the proposal to change the safety management system requirements for the aviation industry.

Yesterday (Jan. 22, 2024), the Aircraft Electronics Association and the Aeronautical Repair Station Association (ARSA) submitted joint comments to the Federal Aviation Administration’s proposal for the Modernization of Special Airworthiness Certification.

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted the Aircraft Electronics Association and seven other organizations’ request for a 90-day extension to review this complex FAA proposal.

Aircraft Maintenance Organizations, has been revised following a request for the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand to clarify the necessary requirements for training of staff to certify components for release to service.

The Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Australia is proposing to amend the type rating information with the addition of new aircraft types and a new type certificate holder to the aircraft type ratings lists in Appendix IX of the Part 66 Manual of Standards.
